In the first Realpolitik podcast of 2008, with Richard and Gavin:
- The first two US primaries are over. The Guardian gets it right in New Hampshire, and The Independent gets it so wrong.
- Nick Clegg utterly fails to cock up at his first PMQs (or should that be OQs?) as a Times poll puts Cameron still ahead.
- We ask who is the party of the NHS, and Richard has a bright idea for the railways.
- Boris Johnson quashes rumours that his hair causes epilepsy.
- Blasphemy looks set to become legal - thank god.
- Nick Clegg reveals the government lost 37 million pieces of data in 2007.
- The Joseph Rowntree Trust criticises Army recruitment adverts, firing up Lawrence James.
- Cameron’s welfare for benefits programme targets scum.
- And finally… Balls cocks-up.

Richard - you say you lived in Sheffield Hallam for a couple of years. I live in Hallam and was wondering why you left. Aren’t we locals friendly?!?

Might I suggest that the player go at the top of the post - that way people could start listening more easily, and then read the notes while they were seduced by your dulcet tones.
Just a thought.

Hi Matt, I would if I could, but Podbean (who host the service) have disabled that feature in Podpress - the player has to be at the bottom of the post. I’ll certainly change it if we ever go to our own site.
